Brian Walsby

is an American illustrator and cartoonist whose dynamic, loose pen-and-ink style became an indelible visual document of the 1980s American punk scene. He first broke into underground prominence with his iconic cover artwork for 7SECONDS’ 1985 release Walk Together, Rock Together, distinguishing himself from the era’s darker, gore-heavy aesthetics with animated, wild, and relatable crowd scenes that captured the authentic energy of the pit.

Dedicated strictly to traditional, tactile craft, Walsby creates 100-percent hand-drawn work, intentionally avoiding digital software and photographic manipulation in favor of raw ink on paper.
