Get Dead

is an American electric and acoustic punk rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 2007. Anchored by lead vocalist Sam King, bassist Tim Mehew, guitarists Mike McGuire and Kyle Santos, and drummer Scott Powell, the band quickly carved out a gritty, signature sound that caught the attention of NOFX’s Fat Mike, who signed them to Fat Wreck Chords.

The group made their label debut with Bad News (2013), followed by Honesty Lives Elsewhere (2016), an album featuring guest collaborations from members of Lagwagon, toyGuitar, and Old Man Markley. Known for their unvarnished, high-energy delivery and countercultural edge, the band’s cover of The Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" was notably featured in anarchist art collective Indecline’s guerrilla protest project "Hate Breed." In 2020, Get Dead returned with Dancing with the Curse, continuing to push their blend of acoustic-driven roots and raw, aggressive street punk.
